Random President's Day Stuff
I swear iTunes is randomly deleting songs from my library. This weekend I discovered both Sleater Kinney's The Woods and New Order's Power, Corruption and Lies were deleted. Dinger isn't around, so I know it wasn't him. It's not the first time this has happened either. hrmph.
How the hell did it get to be 60+ degrees before 8:00am today?
Dinger was in Florida all week for the Daytona 500. "How Redneck Chic!", as my favorite bartender said on Saturday. Don't ask me how, but he ended up with his picture in one of the Daytona newspapers. He's been gone for over a week now. The novelty of having time to myself has passed. Time to come home.
Shows this week...Black Mountain at the Rock and Roll Hotel tomorrow night. I'm digging their new record. I could easily picture them at the Capital Centre, circa 1978 - long hair everywhere and pot smoke filling the arena. Nice, riff-heavy rock, along with some just beautiful, quieter songs. Love it. Travis Morrison at The Black Cat on Friday. mmm...Travis. Anybody wanna go? I'm speaking to you, Mr. Clickboo.
Day off today. Thanks, George and Abe.
I spent a full afternoon record shopping last weekend. Despite they dying indie store trend, DC still has a few decent shops. I had no problem finding a few treats. I didn't even step inside Smash. I had already spent more money than expected. I need to checkout their new location though. Favorite finds of the day:
That's about it for now. Off to the gym.

I've had songs go missing on more than one occasion from Itunes too. I really wish someone would develop a decent alternative!
